Teaching aims and demands:
1. To know the names of some outdoor activities.
2. To be able to talk about the outdoor activities in English.
Teaching steps:
Step 1. Leading
T: Can you tell me some outdoor activities you know about?
Which one do you like best?
Write outdoor on the blackboard. Encourage students to say out their own ideas.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Show some pictures of outdoor activities and ask :
Do you know these outdoor activities?
What other outdoor activities do you know?
Revise the words and write the new words on the blackboard: camping, cycling, skating, riding .
2. Make dialogues like this:
A: Do you want to go camping? B:
A: Who will go camping with you? B:
A: What kind of place /weather is good for camping? B:
A: What should people bring with them if they want to go camping?
3. Finish PartA and check the answers.
Step 3.Drills
1. Play the tape of Part B and repeat after the tape and pay attention to your pronunciation. Try to find out why like the two activities.
Amy loves horses and she really wants to ride one.
Daniel likes being outside, near beautiful lakes and hills.
Step4 Comic strip
1. Look at the picture and tell the students:
Eddie and Hobo are also doing an outdoor activities. Look at the picture and tell what it is. Help the students answer: They’re going hiking.
2. Listen to the tape and answer the questions:
Does Eddie like it?
What about Hobo?
3. Read the dialogue.
Step4. Homework:
Recite the dialogue and read Part B .
Finish the exercises.

Teaching aims and demands:
1. To learn some new words, phrases and important sentences.
2. To master the reading skills.
Teaching steps:
Step1. Leading
Ask and answer:
What’s your favourite activity at school?
Why do you like it best?
Step 2resentation
1. Show a picture and say: Today we’ll learn an exciting story together. Do you know the name of the story?(Alice in wonderland). Who’s the main character of the story?(Alice)
2. Listen to the story to find about Alice’s adventures.
3. Line new words and phrases while listening to the tape.
4. Show some pictures about the story and teach new words: pass, all, hit, alone, low, locked, notice, through.
5. Make sentences with these words.
6. Finish Part B and check the answers.
7. Read the story and write a T or F.
8.Read paragraph1-2 and answer the questions:
Where did Alice see a white rabbit? (By a river.)
What did the rabbit say? ( It said, “Oh dear! I’ll be late.”)
What was the rabbit going to do? Can you guess?
9.Read paragraph1-2 and fill in the blanks:
One sunny day, Alice sat a river with her sister. Then she heard a strange sound. She looked and saw a rabbit a coat passing . The rabbit took a watch its pocket and looked at the time. It surprised Alice a lot. (by; up; in; by; out of)
10.Read paragrap3 and discuss the questions:
Why did the rabbit surprise Alice?
(Because the rabbit was wearing a coat, had a watch and could speak.)
Where did the rabbit go?(It jumped down a big hole.)
Where did Ailce do then?( She jumped down the big hole too. )
Why did she do that?( Because she didn’t want to let the rabbit get away.)
If you saw such a rabbit, would you follow it like Alice did?(Students’ own idea.)
11.Read paragraph4-5 and fill in the blanks;

Teaching steps:
1. Show some pictures and ask students to tell what Alice did.
2. Answer the questions.
Where did Alice see a white rabbit? (By a river.)
What did the rabbit say? ( It said, “Oh dear! I’ll be late.”)
What was the rabbit going to do? Can you guess? (Students’ own idea.)
Why did the rabbit surprise Alice?
(Because the rabbit was wearing a coat, had a watch and could speak.)
