I have math on Monday. 能力 目标 1. 学会描述各个学科。 2. 学会表达对不同学科的看法。 3. 培养学生分析判断事物的能力,发表自己的看法和意见。 情感 目标 通过互相询问和谈论彼此所喜欢的学科以及彼此立项的课程安排,可以增进同学之间的了解和友情,培养学生热爱学习和生活的良好习惯。 教学重点 复习“谈论偏爱”和“询问喜欢的学科并给出理由”的语言结构,学会合理地安排自己 的作息时间。 教学难点 培养学生分析判断事物的能力,发表自己的看法和意见。 教学方法 情境教学法;任务型教学法。 二、【教学流程】 环节 师生活动 二次备课 I.复习 热身 Warming-up and revision. 1. One-minute talk. Topic: My Favorite … (e.g. I have many subjects at school. They are …. My favorite subject is …. I like it because it is …. And … is my …. He/She is …. I like him/her very much, too. My favorite city is …, because it is….) 2. After the talk, get the students to ask and answer questions about it. Ⅱ.感知 体验 1. Presentation (1a). (1) Play the PPT showing a picture of the week to teach the new words. T: There are seven days in a week. But which day is the first day of the week? Is it Monday? Ss: No, it’s Sunday. T: Good! Let’s say the days of the week quickly, clapping our hands. Ss: The first day of the week is Sunday. The second day of the week is Monday. The third day of the week is Tuesday. The fourth day of the week is Wednesday. The fifth day of the week is Thursday. The sixth day of the week is Friday. The seventh day of the week is Saturday. (2) Play the PPT showing some pictures to teach the new adjectives: free and cool. T: Please look at the picture. (Show a picture of someone who is lying on the beach to rest.) We can say he is free. (Write the word “free” on the blackboard.) Ss: Free. Then show a very cool boy with nice clothes. Then, teach the word “cool” in the same way. (3) T: Let’s work on 1a. Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. Ask a student to check the answers. Ss read the words after the teacher, and then try to remember the words. The teacher should tell something about the use of the week. 2. Listening practice (1b-1c). (1) Ask Ss to read the words in 1a. T: Now look at the words in 1a. Can you read them aloud? Get the students to read the words. T: David is talking about his classes on the schedule. Listen to the recording and check (√) the words you hear in 1a. (Play the recording.) T: Which words do you hear? Read them out. Ss: Difficult and interesting. (2) Before the students do the task in 1c, the teacher should teach them to read new words and make sure they have correct pronunciations. T: Now look at the new words in 1b.Which words are the new words? Ss: A.M. and P.M. T: Can you guess their meanings? Ss:上午和下午。(Please tell them if they can’t guess their meanings.) T: Look at the schedule below. This is David’s schedule. December 25th is Monday, December 26th is Tuesday…. T: What classes does David have on Monday? Ss: He has science, English, Chinese, P.E., geography and art. T: Then what activity does David have on Saturday? Ss: He has a soccer game. T: What activity does David have on Sunday? Ss: It’s Bill’s birthday party. T: OK. Read through the schedule. Ss read through the schedule. T: I’ll play the tape twice for you. For the first time, please circle the classes David talks about on this schedule in 1c. For the second time, you can correct your answers. The teacher plays the tape for the first time. Students listen and circle the classes David talks about on this schedule in 1c. T: Now, class, please listen again and check the answers. T: Does David have math today? Ss: Yes. T: How many math classes? One or two? Ss: Two. T: What’s David’s favorite subject? Ss: Chinese. T: What classes does David have? Ss: He has math, history and science this morning. T: When will they meet? Ss: At music class. T: Well done! Listen and repeat the dialogue. The teacher helps the students with the important points. 3. Oral practice (1d). (1) Listen again and complete the conversation in 1d. Ss can correct their answers in pairs. To make sure their answers are right, the teacher can ask some questions. T: What’s David’s favorite subject? Ss: Chinese. T: Why does he like Chinese? Ss: Because it’s interesting. T: When is the class? Ss: It’s on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (2) Talk about your classmates’ favorite subjects using the conversation in 1d. (Students ask and answer in pairs.) S1: What’s Li Tao’s favorite subject? S2: His favorite subject is P.E.. S1: Why does he like P.E.? S2: Because it’s easy and relaxing. S1: When is the class? S2: It’s on Wednesday. If time is allowed, the teacher may check one or two pairs. Ⅲ.强化 巩固 1. Reading practice (2a-2c). (1) Review all the descriptions in this unit. T: We have learned many descriptions in this unit. Who can say the words you know? S1: Boring, difficult, easy, interesting, fun …. S2: (Add some more words.) Free, busy, cool …. T: Now come to 2a. You tell your partner what you think of these subjects. Your partner should write your descriptions down and report it to you. Then exchange roles. Your partner tells you about his or her description. You have to report to your partner. For example: S1: I think music is relaxing. Art is easy. P.E. is fun. English is interesting. Chinese is fun. Math is difficult.… S2: In S1’s opinion, music is relaxing. Art is easy. P.E. is fun. English is interesting. Chinese is fun. Math is difficult.… (2) Reading Task 1: Skim and answer the question. 1. What’s her favorite subject? 2. What does she think of Friday? Task 2: Underline the subjects that Yu Mei likes. Circle the subjects she doesn’t like. Task 3: Read the passage carefully and finish 2c. T: Read the letter again. Complete Yu Mei’s schedule with the information in 2b. Ask some questions to check the students’ answers. T: From 8:00 to 8:50, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: Math. T: From 9:00 to 9:50, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: Science T: From 10:00 to 10:50, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: History. T: From 11:00 to 11:50, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: P.E. T: From 12:00 to 1:00, what activities does Yu Mei have? Ss: She has lunch. T: From 1:00 to 1:50, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: Chinese. T: From 2:00 to 4:00, what class does Yu Mei have? Ss: Art lesson. T: You are great. Please read the letter aloud. Students read aloud after the teacher and then they read aloud fluently together. Task 4: Read the passage carefully again and finish next sentences. Task 5: Read the passage carefully again and retell it. (细读,复述文章) Ⅳ.实践 应用 1. Summary. T: Today, we learn seven days of a week. What are they? Ss: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday… (Show them on the blackboard.) T: And we learn how to talk about others’ favorite subjects and give reasons.
