There are some countries with the most interesting waste sorting culture. Germany is the country with the world's number one recycling system. It has a quite detailed way of sorting their waste-down to the colour of glass waste and the type of paper that could be put inside the paper waste bin. Items like used batteries, electronics, unused paints and appliances must be returned to special locations to be recycled. Other items such as clothes, shoes and furniture are advised to be sold or donated. There's this thing called deposit in Germany, a certain part of the price on a bottled drink that you get back if you return the bottle. German' law requires that all shops selling bottled drinks should have such a return point. South Koreans used to ignore how to sort their waste, but in 1995 their government took a different path from other countries: they set up a systematic(系统的) and strict waste management standard to make sure the development of their future economy. Their government knows that a good waste management system brings money-saving and environment-caring. South Korea succeeded in changing the people's behavior and' did everything to ensure their waste reduction. It's never too hard to throw your garbage in Indonesia. What Indonesians commonly do is putting your trashes in your personal garbage area at the front of your house, right at the side of the street. And the garbage collectors with their big garbage truck will pick the trashes up. D Working at a desk all day may -not be as bad for your health as sitting in front of a television after work. According to a study following about 3, 600 American adults, almost one-third of them watched TV for more than four hours a day. More than one-third of them spent between two and four hours on TV a day. The rest watched TV for less than two hours a day. Compared to people who watched less than two hours of television daily, those who spent more than four hours on TV were 49 percent more likely to die or have a heart attack. But the bad health effects of TV appeared to be limited to adults who failed to get the recommended amount of weekly exercise. That is around 150 minutes of moderate(适度的)physical activity or 75 minutes of strong exercise every week. Annie Brown, a researcher at the University of Calgary, says it is possible that sitting in front of TV might be worse than sitting at a desk because people snack while watching TV. Some people stay up too late and do not get enough sleep. "Eating treats or lack of sleep could both cause weight gain and increase risk factors for heart disease. These factors could make people more likely to die early", she added. Annie explained that "the evidence on TV viewing and health risks is strong." Arch Mainous is a researcher at the University of Florida. He said that it would be a mistake for people with desk jobs to think there is no need to get moving during the work day. "Take the stairs rather than the elevator, or take a walk at lunch," Mainous advised. "Leisure time physical activity is definitely beneficial, but walking more steps in the workday should also be encouraged." 32. What is likely to cause early deaths according to Paragraph 1? A. Watching TV for over 4 hours a day. B. Doing strong exercises for 75 minutes. C. Watching TV for less than 2 hours a day. D. Proper physical activities for 150 minutes. 33. How does Annie like snacking while watching TV? A. Attractive. B. Beneficial. C. Popular. D. Harmful. 34. What may Arch Mainous advise us to do? A. Have lunch out of the office. B. Try to get enough sleep. C. Work out every day. D. Enjoy the leisure time. 35. What can be the best title of the text? A. Overeating, overweight B. Sit before TV long, die young C. More leisure time, better health D. Stronger exercise, healthier life 第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Nowadays, more and more people enjoy traveling at home and abroad.
