英语中级听力教案

前言：
英语中级听力是针对英语专业二年级学生开设的英语专业基础课，所选用的主要教材是《英语中级听力》，由何其莘等主编，由外语教学与研究出版社出版。
按照课程安排和计划以及听力技巧的培养，我们将中级阶段的听说课程的进程分为6个单元，依托于课本内容，具体的6个单元的安排如下：

The right or proper prediction should be like this: It’s (pause ) good exercise. Keeps you fit.

u Seattle: a city in the state of Washington, USA. It is Alaska’s main supply port.
u San Diego: a city on San Diego Bay, California, USA.
u Oklahoma City: Capital of Oklahoma on the North of Canadian River, USA. Founded in 1889, it expanded rapidly following the discovery of oil. Today, it is a commercial, industrial , and distribution center for an oil-producing and agriculture area.
u Miami: a city and port on Biscayne Bay, Florida. A major tourist resort and retirement center, it grew during the Florida land boon of the 1920s and includes now Coral Gables and Miami Beach.
u Montreal: A Canadian city and port in Quebec, on Montreal Island at the junction of the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers. Canada’s largest city, it is also the greatest transportation , trade, and manufacturing center. Two thirds of the population is French speaking , making it the second largest French-speaking city in the world.
u Toronto: Capital of Ontario, Canada, On lake Ontario, it is Canada’s second largest city.

Section III: how to predict
注意语意符号 “otherwise”, “I must admit” 等词汇所隐含的含义
例
1. I am one of those impatient readers who want to get straight into a book from the beginning. Otherwise(pause )________________
Here the word “otherwise” suggests a result of the opposite condition, the suggested answer should be : I tend to skip parts that don’t really hold my interest.
2. A: I’m afraid I did quite a lot of shipping with Aln Bsailey’s novel. And with over 500 pages it was a bit of a disappointment really.
B: yes. I must admit that _________
“ I must admit” suggests an agreement to the other person’s opinion.
So the suggested prediction should be : it was rather long/
