初一英语下册第七单元说课稿 Hello,ladies and gentlemen.I’m very honored to be here to present my teaching ideas.I’m going to talk about section b of unit7“... Good…, ladies and gentlemen. I’m very honored to be here to present my teaching ideas. I’m going to talk about section B of Unit7 “What dose he look like?” for grade 7 in junior middle school. I am going to illustrate my plan from the following 6 aspects. Teaching materials, Teaching methods, Learning strategies, Teaching procedures, Blackboard design and Teaching evaluation. 1. First, I’ll give a brief analysis of the teaching materials. The teaching materials include 3 parts: the status and functions, teaching aims, the key points and the difficulties. For the status and functions, this textbook “Go for it” is designed to cultivate Ss’ overall abilities including linguistic, culture and social ones. And it is also designed with the aim of making Ss use English to exchange ideas, fulfill certain tasks and solve practical problems. According to the new national curriculum, teaching aims are composed of three aspects, such as knowledge aims, ability aims and affection aims. Knowledge aims: I’ll enable Ss to have a good command of the new words and target sentences. And then get Ss to talk about people’s appearances freely in real situation with the sentence patterns. Ability aims: I’ll cultivate Ss’ ability of communication, cooperation and exploration to enable them to express their opinions by using the target sentences. As for the affection aim. By describing people’s appearances, express their views or preferences. Ss would know what the true beauty is and understand the inner beauty is more important than the appearance. key points and difficulties. The key points of this section are to develop Ss’ linguistic competence As for the difficulties are to develop Ss’ reading proficiency. 2. Let’s come to the 2nd part, teaching methods. The new national curriculum advocates that language is for communication, English teaching should lay special emphasis on development of Ss. For this purpose, I’ll mainly adopt 2 teaching methods. They are task-based language teaching and communicative language teaching. (换页) Here I’ll mainly talk about Task-based language teaching, that is to say, in my class I’ll design different activities and get Ss to fulfill the tasks. In that way, Ss will learn to experience and explore to improve their overall abilities. I’ll design such a situation in class. I’ll say like this, boys and girls, all eyes on me. I will tell you a story listening carefully: one day, Jim and his mother went to the park, minutes later, Jim’s mother couldn’t find Jim and she was very nervous. She said: Jim where are you? Jim where are you? That’s all my story. we want to help Jim’s mother, so she gave us a picture of her son. Now, your task is to describe Jim and tries to find him. 3. ok, let’s turn to the 3rd part, learning strategies. Ss in grade 7 have mastered a certain basic knowledge of English, and they still keep their curiosity on something new. According to this situation, in this unit I will design some activities to help Ss to develop their learning strategies. For reading strategies such as Predicting, Making reference, Summarizing, Cooperating, Skimming and Scanning as well. 4. Now I’ll deal with the most important part--Teaching procedure. In this part I’ll arrange 7 steps: warm-up, lead in, pre-task, task-cycle, post-task, conclusion and homework. First, a warm-up activity. I’ll get Ss to watch a video. Before their watching, I’ll ask the Ss to try to count the people. Then, I’ll let them describe one of the pictures.(看视频并且画画) After watching the video I’ll get get Ss to think about their father and mother, ask them a Q to move on to step 2 lead-in. Q “What does your father and mother look like?” Ok, look at the picture on the blackboard, they look happy. The boy has short hair and the girl has the long hair, maybe they are skimming. After that, I’ll help Ss know how to describe a person by demonstrating a short play like this: Liu Xing, why not go back home earlier? Oh, mum I practice my oral English here. What did you practice? I practice how to describe a person. Whom did you describe? I describe you mum. How? I said I have a beautiful mum. She has black, short and straight hair. She has big mouth, small eyes and small nose. But I love my mum very much. Oh, my good son, let’s go home. Bye! By watching this play, the Ss not only would be highly motivated, but also they could have some impression on how to describe a person. Then we go to the step3 pre-task. I’ll get the Ss to do a “guessing game”. I’ll describe a famous person in sentences then let them guess who’s him. The sentences will like these…After this I’ll show them the picture of the person. Yes, he is Yao Ming. In this activity, students will practice their listening skills and get to know some adjectives to describe people and students will be very exited and very naturally I’ll lead them to the next step task-cycle. Task-cycle, which involves in listening, speaking, reading and drawing. For listening, I’ll play the tape twice. For the first time, ask Ss to close the book, just listen and try to get the main meaning of the dialogue. For the second time, I’ll pause the tape several times to give Ss time to fill in the chart. After that, I’ll check the answers. As for reading, I’ll adopt the Holistic Reading method, which composed of Pre-reading, While-reading and After-reading. For Pre-reading We’ll have Guessing games, ask them some Questions and get them to have a short Discussion. First, I’ll let the Ss observe the two pictures to find the differences. Then get them to talk about the differences between the 2 pictures. In While-reading: it includes Skimming and Scanning. For skimming, I’ll ask Ss to read the material quickly to get the main idea.( 换页)For scanning, I’ll ask students to read the material again and get them to concentrate on some specific information. By doing these, the Ss would get the general ideas and they could fill in the chart. Let’s move to After-reading: it includes comprehension check-up, oral reproduction and outside reading. I’ll give my Ss the fill in the blanks questions. After they finish the Qs I’ll let them summarize the reading materials and then to have a debate. I’ll lead Ss to the English Salon. I’ll say like this: ok, boys and girls this is a “English salon” TV program show. Today we will have a debate. Our topic will be “the inner beauty or appearance” which is more important to a person. I’ll divide the whole class into 2 teams: team A is approval and Team B is against. In this way, Ss can express their opinions freely. After the exciting debate, I’ll make a summary like this. The appearances are not the most important thing. We should not judge a person only from their appearances.. It is not enough for Ss learn the textbook. So I’ll choose these newspapers, magazines and books to extend my Ss’ Reading. Task 3: Speaking and writing: for this part, the Ss would practice their speaking and writing ability. Firstly, I’ll let Ss speak out the names of their favorite stars, actors or musicians and then write down some of the names on the board. After that I’ll ask them to draw persons, then talk about the pictures in groups. last, I’ll ask Ss to choose one of them and write a short description of their stars. For Step5: post-task I’ll give them 5 pictures which we studied just now in class, let them have a “memory challenge”. First, Ss will observe the pictures and I’ll have some explanation under these pictures. Then I’ll cover the pictures to let Ss remember the pictures: that is, which one is a fat person, which one is a thin person and which one has the long hair. Then get Ss to replace the pictures. The one who remember the most and replace them correctly will be the winner. Conclusion: With the game, the whole class will go into the conclusion time. Firstly, I’ll Summarize the useful expressions. Secondly, I’ll give my Ss the sentences from famous people and tell them the inner beauty is more important. I’ll give Ss 2 homework, one is speaking the other is writing. For Speaking: I’ll give them a real situation, let my Ss to describe a person.For Writing: let the Ss write about one of their family member or a famous person. 5. Blackboard layout: I design the blackboard in this way. I’ll write some key words and phrases on the left. And I’ll draw a picture on right. So that will be clear for Ss to understand and learn to use them. 6.Teaching evaluation: This is a task-based and Ss-centered class. The teacher is not only an instructor and organizer but also a prompter, facilitator and participants. The teacher will help Ss to achieve their final goals.
