U．S． President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown are calling for global unity as world leaders gather in London for an emergency economic summit（峰会）． 
The president says no one country can fix the economic crisis．
Mr． Obama stressed the need for all participants to seek common ground to deal with the economic crisis．  "I am absolutely confident that this meeting will reflect enormous consensus（一致旳意见） about the need to work together to deal with these problems," said Mr． Obama．

Three months ago, Mariza Castro left Honduras． Today, she is in the United States and she has a job． Castro works behind the counter at McDoald’s． Speed is an important part of her work life． Fast – food counter workers are expected to serve customers in less than a minute． At McDonald’s they say, “Work fast or you don’t last．”

But McDonald’s also gets its share of praise． Its best workers move up quickly． Just talk to 17 – year – old Ameer Abdur – Razaaq of Harlem, New York City． “They call me ‘Young Crew Chief’ around my block,” he says． “When else can I go at my age and be in charge of this many people?” He sees the job as the first step in his career．

Millions of people will be able to track（追踪）each and every move by friends and family through their mobile phones，thanks to a new feature launched（公布）by Google yesterday．
The new system named“Latitude” uses a map to show exactly where a loved one is at any time, sometimes discovering their location to a few meters．Worried parents will be able to check up on where their children have got to after school, friends can meet for a quick drink if they see they are nearby and wives will be able to see if their husbands really are working late at the office．
