Task

1. You also want to prepare a presentation on your hometown. Think about what you can see and do in your hometown. Then make some notes.
Use your notes to write a script for your presentation. Use John’s script as a model.
Then read your script to your classmates.

raise常用作及物动词，含有“(人为地)使升起；使提升”的意思，并且还有“筹
集；饲养；抚养”的意思。

他妈妈在农场养了很多鸭子。
       They are raising money for Project Hope.
他们为希望工程筹钱。
rise常用作不及物动词，含有“(自然或非主观因素地)升起；上升”的意思，并且还有“起床”的意思。
e.g. The moon rises. 月亮升起来了。
       We are surprised that the price of the house is rising so rapidly.
房子的价格上涨的这么快，让我们很吃惊。
根据句意选用raise或rise的适当形式填空。
