Learn the new structures: “Have you got…?”, “Yes, I have. No, I haven’t”. Difficult points: have=have got, has=has got Teaching aids: Tape, recorder and blackboard, pictures. Type of lesson: listening and speaking Teaching procedures: Step 1. Lead in (5 mins): 1. Do the activity: ask and answer: (review the sentence pattern: How many ……..are there……..) T: Good afternoon, class. How are you today? Before our class, I want to ask you some questions. 1. How many students are there in the classroom? 2. How many girls are there in our classroom? 3. How many books are there in your desk? S:………………. Teacher asks several students: How many people are there in your family? S: ……………………………… T: OK, today, we are going to learn a new unit: “how many people are there in your family?” (Teacher comes to the blackboard to the write down the title: How many people are there in your family?) Step2 (5mins) Review the words: father, mother, brother, sister and learn the new words: grandfather, grandmother, grandparents, uncle, aunt. T: OK, now, I want to show you a picture. This is a picture of my family. How many people are there in my family? S: There are……………. T: This is me. Do you know who she is? Have a guess. S: ………………….. T: What about this one? Who is he? S: …………………………….. … ….. (Teacher comes to the blackboard to draw a family tree) T:What about this one: 1. My father’s father? What can we call him? 2. What about my father’s mother?
