(用什么东西干某事) 这是两组不定式短语做宾补的句型。左边省略to而右边必须有小品词to的不定式短语做宾补。这个不定式短语与前面的宾语sb.存在着一种逻辑上的主谓关系,好像是(sb. do sth.)或(sb. to do sth.)某人干某事。 7. take action 采取行动(措施) 类似的表达法有:take steps, take measures, do sth. (= something must be done). e.g. We must take action to stop the farmers from building houses near the wetland. 我们必须采取行动或措施来阻止村民在湿地附近盖房。 Something must be done to keep them from doing such foolish things. 必须采取措施阻止他们干这种傻事。 8. in danger (处于危险之中) dangerous (危险的) endangered (处于危险之中的) e.g. More and more birds are not safe in Zhalong, and they are in danger. 越来越多的鸟类在扎龙已不安全,它们处于危险之中。 This kind of bird is dangerous, for it has sharp beak. It is even dangerous to play with it. 这种鸟是很危险的,因为它长着尖喙。玩这种鸟更危险。 The Chinese government is taking action to protect these endangered birds. 中国政府正在采取行动保护这些濒临危险的鸟类。 9. 几种有用的构词法 1) 形+名+ed: long-legged, long-necked, long-winged, long-pointed, kind-hearted, white-haired, warm-hearted 2) 名(数)+名+ed: three-legged, one-eyed, web-footed 3) 名 + v-ing: insect-eating, flesh-eating, swift-flying, English-speaking 10. With some irregular adjectives, we use the same word as the adverb e.g. fast (adj.) – fast (adv.) hard (adj.) – hard (adv.) loud (adj.) – loud (adv.) With some irregular adjectives, we change the word. e.g. good (adj.) – well (adv.) With some irregular adjectives, we should remember their part of speech. They are adjectives, not adverbs. e.g. friendly (adj.), lovely (adj.), lonely (adj.), weekly (adj.), daily (adj.), lively (adj.) Some adverbs have different uses, although they come from an original word. e.g. deep (adv.) – deeply (adv.) wide (adv.) – widely (adv.) high (adv.) – highly (adv.) hard (adv.) – hardly (adv.) 11. have an area of … 有……面积 这类短语多有不定冠词。类似的有: have a distance of … 有……的距离(远) have a population of … 有……人口 have a history of … 有……长历史 have a collection of … 有……收集品 have a length of … 有……多长 e.g. The wetland has an area of 4840 sq. yard. 这片湿地有四千八百四十方码的面积。 The town has a population of 500,000. 这个城市有五十万人口。 12. “爱好”、“喜欢”的句式小结 1) 想要:’d like sth. want to do sth. ‘d like to do sth. hope to do sth. ‘d like sb. to do sth. wish to do sth. 2) 喜欢:like to do be interested in doing sth. like doing be good at doing sth. be into doing sth. be fond of doing sth. 3) 爱好:My favorite sports are … My hobbies are … My interests are … II. Grammar 一般现在时态表将来 1. 要说明某事已计划好或在时间上已做安排。 The next train leaves at two fifteen in the morning. 下一辆火车发车时间是早上两点十五分。 It’s Tuesday tomorrow. 明天是星期二。 2. 在从句中,例如在if条件从句、时间从句等状语从句中,常用现在时态表达将来时间。 e.g. You can go at five if you finish the work. 如果你完成工作,你可以在五点钟离开。 Let’s have a drink before we start. 在工作之前,让我们先喝点东西吧。 I won’t go to his party if he doesn’t invite me. 如果他不邀请我,我是不会去参加他的聚会的。
