17、 Language changes all the time. New words and phrases appear and grow. The words and pronunciations used by young people in the UK can be very different from those used by adults Living in a multi (多元的)-cultural society has an effect on language, especially on young people, whose friends are often from a mix of backgrounds. TV and music also influence the language of the young.
Young British people use lots of language that you usually can't find in most dictionaries. These very informal(不正规的) words and expressions are known as “slang”.
