As is vividly showed in the picture, an old woman has fallen down and shouted for help, the woman standing beside warned the young man not to offer help so as to avoid being blackmailed by the elderly. This drawing mirrors a common social phenomenon which has aroused concerns.
The frequent occurrence of blackmail after a passerby has offered help has discouraged people from doing gooddeeds. It is sad to see that giving a hand to the strangers has become increasingly risky. Indifference to needed people will lead to moral declining of the whole society. If we should always be passers-by, people in desperate need would even lose their lives.
As far as I am concerned, I won’t turn blind eyes to those needed strangers since ready to help others is a glorious tradition of our nation. Meanwhile, I will protect myself and offer help in an appropriate way. Only when I have a ready mind to help others that can I expect to be helped when I am in need.

On the Cancellation of English Test
A proposal to remove the English test from the national college entrance exam has triggered heated debate among parents and experts. Some says it is a good news as it helps to ease students’ burden. Meanwhile, the others worry that students may think English plays a minor role in their daily life.
Truthfully, the initial intention of that cancellation proposal is to ease study pressure for students. But as long as colleges recruit students according to their scores, no matter how and where they take assessments, it won’t help ease the academic pressure at all. As a result, the key to the solution lies in the reform of the enrollment system and exam-oriented education. Furthermore, as a useful communication tool, English should be learned through more active communication rather than focusing on vocabulary and grammar.

Most importantly, the people who support smoke-free public places should unite to create intense public pressure and force smokers to refrain from lighting up in public.

¡¡¡¡The cost of raising a child in China is becoming greater and greater. But economic pressure is not the only reason that makes young parents ¡°child’s slave¡±. Parents’ competing with each other in trying to provide the best possible living conditions for their children should also be blamed. 
¡¡¡¡If this problem continues, it would affect parents and the development of our country. These parents would suffer from huge economic pressure, which may pose a threat to their marriages or physical and mental health.
