T: Oh , that’s nice. How long have you learnt English ?
S : Let me see. I have learnt English for … years. But I still remmerber the first time that I came here --- PoPodo English school. At that time I was a little boy , I knew nothing about English. But my teacher … was very patient with us . She taught us in an interesting way which made us very happy.

S : The lion is known as the king of animals. It is four – legged with a long tail. The male has a large mane while the female does not. And I kown the male lion gets older its head gets bigger. It’s quite special.Lions live together in a group. They are vey scary and kill only for food. Sometimes it will kill people but this is rare as most lions are afraid of man. What I like about the lions is the sense of majesty it displays. It is afraid no other animal and roars to announce its presence and intimidate other animals.

T : Which sports are popular in your country ?
S : Table tennis , basketball and football. The Chinese are famous for being the best table tennis players in the world. Table tennis is popular with all kinds of people, but basketball and football are mainly popular with young people. Yao Ming is one of the most famouse basketball players in the world.
T : Tell me about a minority in your country. You should say : What the minority is called and where the people live; How the people there are special or different to other minorities in your country ; What traditions or
Festivals they have.
S : The Mosuo is a minority that live in north-west Yunnan. The Mosuo is known for their society. Women are the heads of families .fathers usually maintain few links with their children. Mainly , they look after their sister’s children. Now their privacy and way of life are being threatened by the arrival of thousands of tourists. On the other hand , this tourism has increased the wealth of the community.

T : Do you often visit zoos or wildlife parks ?
S : I go twice a year with my parents. I like watching animals. I learn a lot about animals at the zoo. But I don’t like to see animals trapped in small cages. I’d rather go to the place where the enviroment is natural.
T : Tell me about a hobby or an interest that you have . You should say what the hobby or interest is ; When and why you took up this hobby or interest ? Whether you will continue with this hobby or interest
S: My interests are very broad and extensive. My interests and hobbies are active, although sometimes I am quiet and introverted. I prefer outdoors sports such as flying kites , playing badminton and so on. For one thing . I am very keen on flying kites. Kite flying is both fun and creative. A bright shinng sun , a blue sky , and a gentle breeze make the most favourable weather for flying a kite. As a child , I enjoyed flying a kite in a very simple way. When the wind blows really hard , I am faced with more challenges to my kite-flying skill, which is what I like . What’s more , I can even make a kite myself. I can make whatever shape or form I prefer , such as a butterfly or a dragon.

T : What is your favorite subject at school?
S：I like history most of all. I have been interested in what happened in the past, finding out why it happened , and what it can teach us for the future. I found the subject most useful because I could see how the modren world had been shaped by these events.
T : Do you celebrate festivals in your country ?
S：Yes , the main festival we celebrate are the Spring Festival , workers’ Day , National Day and the Mid- Autumn festival. People like to spend festivals with their families. As a result , it is difficult to travel at the beginning and end of the Spring Festival , Workers’ Day holiday and National Day holiday.
T : Do these festivals have special meanings ?
S ：Spring festival celebrates the beginning of the Chinese year. Workers’ Day honours workers. National Day celebrates the founding of my country in 1949.

T : Do you often play games with your family or friends 、
S : I like playing hide – and – seek with my friends. It’s a simple game and the number of people isn’t important. You can play with two people or ten people. I sometimes play Chinese chess with my grandfather. He usually wins.
T : How often do you watch Tv ?
S : I watch TV between 5 to 8 hours a week. It depends a lot on my schedule and on the time of year. In summer , I watch less TV because I go out with friends.
T : Is watching TV a popular thing to do in your country ?
S : Yes. We can even watch TV at school. People want to know what is happening in the world. TV can tells us that easily. There are so many TV channels in China, but not all of them are nathional channels. People can easily find something they like to watch.
