形容词比较级与最高级的用法
单音节及部分双音节形容词比较级（- er）与最高级（- est）的规则变化。
1. 一般在词尾直接加er/est: tall—taller—tallest
2. 以e 结尾的单词去e加er/est: wide—wider—widest
3. 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词，把y改成i, 再加 er/est : busy—busier—busiest
4. 以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母的单词，双写末尾的辅音字母，再加er/est : big—bigger—biggest , (fat, thin, red, hot)
5. 部分双音节与多音节的形容词, 在词前加more, most:
more beautiful ---- most beautiful
6. 不规则变化详见书本P125.
good/ well –better –best bad/ ill—worse—worst many/ much- more—most
little—less—least far---farther/ further—farthest/ furthest

1. as+adj/ adv.的原级+ as 与……一样, (not)/so…as (否) 与……不一样
eg. The ruler is as long as that one. He sings as well as Jack.
He doesn’t sing as(so) well as Jack.
比较级、最高级要注意的几个问题：
1. 比较级+than He is taller than he.
2. 比较级+and+比较级, 表示“越来越”
eg. warmer and warmer, nicer and nicer, more and more beautiful, 3. the+比较级,the+比较级 越…就越…
eg. The more you read the book, the more interesting you find .
4. 比较级的修饰语有 : much, even, a little, + adj./adv. 比较级
He is much / even/ a little stronger than Tom.
5. 当比较级后没有than, 而为of the two的结构,比较级前加the.
eg. The taller of the two girls is Mary.
6. One of +the +最高级+名词复数 最…其中之一 (谓语动词用单数)
Yellow River is one of the longest rivers in China.
= Yellow River is ________ than ________ _________ rivers in China.
=Yellow River is _________ than ________ _________ river in China.
One of the tallest boys is / comes from BJ.
7. 如果比较对象相同，可用that / those 代替第二个比较对象。
The weather in Hebei is colder than that in Shanghai.
These books are older than those in the bad.
最高级用法:
1. 形容词最高级用于in, of 或among的结构中, 形容词最高级前+the
Eg I am the best of (among) the three.
He is the thinnest boy in my class.
3. 副词最高级不需+the eg. Jim goes to bed latest in my family.)
