Unit 1 Where did you go on vacation? Section A 1. Knowledge Objects: (1) Function: Talk about past event. (2) Key vocabulary:anyone, wonderful, quite a few, most, something, nothing, (3) Target language: ① —Where did you go on vacation? —I went to the mountains. ② —What did Tom do on vacation? —He went fishing. ③ —Did you go with anyone? —Yes, I did. /No, I didn’t. 2. Learning goals: (1) Master new words and phrases (2) Talk about the past events. 3. Key & difficult points (1) Master new words and phrases. (2) Learn to talk about the past events. 4.Teaching procedures Step 1 :Warming up Greet with the Ss and talk about summer vacation. ⑴ Teacher will ask Ss about their vacations : ① How was your summer vacation? ② What did you do on vacation? ③ Where did you go on vacation? ⑵ Teacher will tell Ss about her vacation in the form of rapping. In the rap, teacher will talk about the activities she did in three days. During the first listening, Ss should try to remember what teacher did in three days . During the second listening, Ss can try to sing with teacher according to lyrics. 设计意图: 活动 (1):老师和学生谈论他们的暑假生活以复习过去式,并通过三个关键句型的重复,让学生先从听觉上熟悉句型。 活动(2):老师用唱慢速饶舌的方式和同学们回顾自己在假期三天中活动。对学生而言老师唱饶舌是一种很新颖的方式,这不但能提高学生兴趣也锻炼了英语听力和口语。 Step 2: Revision of simple past tense ⑴ Past tense of irregular verbs are very difficult for the students, so teacher will help them to review irregular verbs by singing them. ⑵ Game: What did I do just now? First, teacher will write some past tense verbs on many pieces of small paper, then put them in a box. Next, one student picks one paper randomly and performs it on the stage. The rest of Ss try to guess “what did she/he do just now?” 设计意图: 过去式是本课重要的知识内容,而不规则动词的过去式更是学生学习的难点。 活动(1)老师用节奏活泼的音乐带学生复习不规则动词过去式,朗朗上口的演唱,能降低学生畏难情绪,便于记忆。 活动(2) 通过这种表演游戏让学生动起来,课堂气氛更活跃,并检验过去式的记忆情况。 Step 3:Work on 1a ⑴ Use a photo of the teacher to lead in activity 1a. T: Look at this picture. Can you guess out where did I go on vacation ? Ss: hill/ mountains! T: Yes, I went to the mountains. But I didn’t went to the mountains by myself. There is a girl. She went to the mountains too. Please open your book and turn to page one. Try to find her picture! After Ss find the girl, teacher will ask them match the rest activities with picture. ⑵ checking game There will be eight numbers on the screen. And there is one phrase under each number. Students have to pick numbers and speak out the phrases. 设计意图: 活动(1)通过老师照片引入1a练习,通过老师引导顺其自然的找到相关人物,并完成配对。 活动(2)次活动的目的在于检测学生对新学短语的掌握情况,八个数字下的提示有汉字、图画和句子,这可以增加测试的难度及丰富性。 Step 4:Listening practice (1c) (1)First listening:Match the name T: This girl went to the mountains and that boy went to the summer camp, right? But do you know their names?Do you want to know their names? Ss: yes! T: Ok! Let’s listen to 1c. (2) Second listening: Find the information After first listening, Ss have to answer the three questions according to their memory. If the Ss can’t answer the questions, teacher can show the picture as a hint. Then listen to the tape again to check their answers. 设计意图: 活动(1)在第一次的听力中让学生匹配名字和人物,并鼓励学生尽可能的记忆关键信息,目的在于提升学生提取关键信息的能力。 活动(2)首先让学生根据第一次听力后的记忆回答老师提出问题,当遇到问题时老师可出示图片作为提示。这样的设计可以锻炼学生听力记忆,并循序渐进的获得信息。 Step 5:Pair work dictation T: Pick up the paper on your desk. You and your desk mate have the same passage, but the blanks are different. You have to read together and fill in the blanks. 设计意图: 这个活动利用材料中的信息差,让学生学会彼此配合和彼此聆听。这个活动可以锻炼学生口语和听力,并能培养学生合作的精神。 此外一片短文可以接下来的写作部分提供铺垫和参考。 Step 6:Let’s write a story Four pictures picked from the book will be shown on the screen, and then Ss have to write a little story according to the picture. Encourage Ss to use their imagination. 设计意图: 这个活动是本课的一个总结活动。学生要学会在写故事的过程中综合运用本堂课学到的各种知识,并添加自己的想象力,最终形成一个自己的创作。 3展开阅读全文
