(教材地位与作用) This period is the fourth part of Unit4 .It can help the Ss describe the daily life and further consolidate the present progressive. And it’s about field trip. So it’s easy to arouse the Ss’ interest of learning English and help them improve their speaking skills. By learning this part, the Ss will master some words of daily activities in the present progressive form like: playing chess and the sentence pattern in the special questions like :What is John doing ? He is playing chess . What’s more ,At the same time, the Ss will receive some moral education, Therefore, according to the teaching material and analyzing the regulation of the children’s growing of mind. I establish the following teaching aims of this period. Ⅱ Teaching aims. (教学目标) 1. knowledge objects. (知识目标) a) The Ss can listen, read, say and spell the following verb phrases: having a picnic, counting insects, playing chess, writing a report and colleting leaves b) The Ss can listen, read, say the sentence pattern: What is John doing? He is playing chess. c)The Ss can enlarge their vocabulary. 2. Ability objects . (能力目标) a) To improve the Ss’ speaking skills. b) To encourage the Ss to use what they learn to describe the daily life. c) To develop the Ss’ cooperation in their studies. 3. Moral object. (情感目标) Let them know love nature, love life. Ⅲ Teaching Key and Difficult Points. (教学重难点) The key point is to master the five verb phrases and how to ask and answer questions with them. The difficult point is how to pronounce the counting and collecting. Well, how to achieve the teaching aims better, to stress the key points, and break through the difficult points, the key is how to make use of proper teaching methods. Part Two Teaching Method.( 说教法) According to the requirement of the new curriculum standard, we should concentrate on the Ss’ interest . It emphasizes that we should let the Ss study in the relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. So I adopt the following teaching methods: visual teaching method, situational teaching method, task-based teaching method, communicative teaching method. They can help the Ss express their thoughts, master the language points and foster the good learning habits. At the same time ,I’ll use a tape recorder , the multi-media ,a computer and some words cards to help me achieve the teaching aims. Part Three Studying Ways. (说学法) To change the traditional way of learning English, I’ll try my best to let the Ss take an active part in all the activities instead of receiving knowledge passively, let them communicate and cooperate instead of only reading . In the class, they will do some individual work, pair work, group work and class work, Part Four Teaching Process.(说过程) Step 1 warm-up 1.Greet with the Ss to let them study in a relaxing atmosphere. 2. Sing the song 《How do you go to school?》to let the Ss feel pleased and help them recall many kinds of transportation means, and make preparation for this period. Step2 Lead-in 1.Revise some words about hobbies in part A by presenting some word cards. Let the Ss chant like this, Amy ,Amy What’s your hobby? I like, I like riding a bike. (Purpose: It can help the Ss recall the words easily and arouse the Ss’ interest of learning the new course.) 2.Have a free talk, like this: Do you like reading books? have the Ss ask and answer Qs in pairs. Then ask ,Do you know my hobby? I like drawing pictures. I have a pen pal .I’ve drawn some pictures about his daily life. Let’s have a look. Then lead in the new lesson. Step3 Presentation 1.Say, I’m a teacher. I go to school every day. I go to school on foot. I live near school. I live in Tuanfeng.( write live on the Bb)This is my Pen pal .Let the Ss look at the picture of my pen pal, ask, where does he live? Does he live in Tuanfeng?Help them answer No, he doesn’t. He lives in Huangzhou.( write lives on the Bb)Encourage them to say more sentences with lives. 2 I read books every evening.(write read on the Bb ) Let’s guess: Does my pen pal read books? Then show the CAI of reading newspapers , help them answer No ,he doesn’t. He reads newspapers.(writer reads on the Bb)Let them say about their family members like this, My mother reads books… 3.I’m an English teacher. I teach English. ( write teach on the Bb).Does he teach English? Let them answer Yes, he does. He teaches English ,too. ( write teaches on the Bb) Let them say their own teachers like this, Miss… teaches … 4.Prensent: goes to work by bus and watches TV in the same way. Here, I create some real situations .They can help me present the new words and arouse their interest of communicating. And It can help the Ss use what they learn to describe others’ life. 5.Let the Ss look at the Bb and find out the rules of the change of the verbs. Then show the CAI, help them to understand the rules. For example live –lives teach--teaches Step4 Drill I say sentences about I…and let the Ss say some sentences about He/She/Amy/Sarah/…for example: T: I go to school on foot. S: Amy goes to school by bike. (Purpose: It can help the Ss further consolidate the new structure and help them enlarge their vocabulary in a easy way.) Step 5 Practice 1.Get the Ss to look at the picture about Bill and say something about Bill in groups. 2. Get the Ss to say something about their friends.
