Step 1. Free talk
1. What’s this？ It’s a book.
Whose book is I It’s…’s.
Write the sentences on the blackboard:
It's a book。 The book is…’s。
2. Make sentences
eg： This is an apple. The apple is big and red。
Step2。Presentation
We use a or an when we mention a person or thing for the first time. We use the before a noun when the person or thing is mentioned again, or when we are talking about a specific person or thing。
Show some pictures and ask students to say something about the pictures:
1. This is a Panda House。 We can see some pandas.
2. Look， here is a panda。 The panda is eating bamboo.
3. Here's a panda too. What's the panda doing?

2. Ask and answer， try to make students answer with “inside , outside， beside， next to， left and right"。
3。 Teacher says: Look， we have some lights. The lights are above us。 We have some books here。 The books are on the teacher’s desk. We have a national flag。 It's over the blackboard.

1. 呈现第四组对话,让学生阅读，找出其中表示惊讶的句子：Three kilometers？让学生朗读,朗读过程中教师及时纠正学生的语调.
2. 让学生在朗读过程中体会这些句子的语调，教师总结：We usually make our tone fall at the end of a statement. However， we make our tone rise at the end of a sentence to show surprise。
Step 6. Practice
1. 播放第四组对话的录音，指导学生跟录音模仿朗读：Listen to the tape and pay attention to the end of the sentence。 Then read them out loud。 Make your tone rise when needed。
2. 接着请学生两人一组在全班大声朗读对话，教师要注意及时纠正和表扬：Now, please read the dialogue in pairs. Pay attention to your intonation。
3. 让学生告诉老师一些令人惊讶的事情,教师表示惊讶,在交流时教师注意使用正确语调，让学生体会正确的语调有利于更好地进行交流。
4. Page 51 Read the conversation. Put a falling arrow or a rising arrow when you think the person’s tone should fall or rise。
5. 学生分角色朗读,同时标出正确语调。教师纠正不正确的语调，对正确的语音语调及时给予鼓励。
