Introduction of Changchun
长春，吉林省省会，位于东北亚经济圈近似几何中心位置，是东北三省的中枢城市和交通枢纽。
Changchun, provincial capital of Jilin Province, located at the approximate center of the Northeast Asian economic circle, is the center city of the three provinces in the northeast of China and the traffic pivot as well.

Changchun, is the cradle of the Chinese automobile industry and the largest automobile manufacturing base. FAW (First Automobile Works Corporation) and Changchun Car Company are also sited here. The first automobile, the first sedan, the first track passenger train, the first underground train, and the first maglev are all manufactured here.

Introduction of the development area
长春汽车产业开发区由长春市政府与中国一汽集团共同建设，是全国首创政企共建开发区，也是全国唯一一家以汽车产业为核心的专业开发区。它位于长春西南工业核心区，占地118.59平方公里。自2005年9月成立以来，经过3年的艰苦奋斗，已拥有国际知名的汽车制造业集群、东北最大的汽车商贸服务基地。在科学的发展理念和特色服务推动下，本着高水平规划、高标准建设、高效率运行、高速度发展的要求，长春汽车产业开发区将着力打造世界性的汽车产业价值平台。
Changchun Automotive Industries Development Area, cooperatively constructed by Changchun government and the FAW of China, is the first development area established by the government and the enterprises and the unique specific development area focusing on automobiles in China. It is located at the core industrial area in the southwest of Changchun, covering an area of 118.69 km2. Since its establishment from September, 2005, it has developed into the largest automobile trade service base with the world-famous automobile manufacturing cluster through three years of painstaking efforts. With the motivation of the scientific outlook on the development and the services with its own characteristics, in accordance with the requirement of high level in planning, high standard in construction, high efficiency in operation, high speed in development, Changchun Automotive Industries Development Area will strive for the establishment of the automobile industry value up to the world standard.

地理位置
Geographical location
长春汽车产业开发区位于长春市西南部，东起普阳街、长沈铁路，南至公主岭市范家屯镇，西到西新开河，北接规划长沈高速客运铁路，总面积118.59平方公里。建成区面积23平方公里，人口22.6万人，其中非农人口19万。
Changchun automotive industries development area is located at the southeast of Changchun city from Puyang Street and Liao-Shen Railroad in the east, Fanjiatun town in Gongzhuling city in the south of Changchun, west Xinkaihe in the west and planned upper high railway from Changchun to Shenyang in the north, covering an area of 118.59 km2, the construction area of 23 km2, a population of 226,000 including the urban population of 190,000.

Traffic and transportation
近年来，开发区根据城市总体规划的要求，以高水平建设开发区为根本出发点，优化交通枢纽功能，构建高效完善的内外交通网。强化内外辐射的交通功能，形成预备跨跃区内高速公路的交通网络格局。重点建设东风大街延长段、102国道延长段等5项干线道路建设，新建道路70公里；京哈铁路、京哈高速公路、绕城高速公路、长沈一级公路穿境而过；长春铁路货运站、长春公路枢纽分布其间，形成起步区干线网，保证了交通便捷、物流通畅。
In recent years, in accordance with the overall urban program, with the essential objective to build up the development area of high-level, the development commits itself to optimization for the traffic and the establishment of highly improved internal and external traffic network. As a result, the expansion of traffic from the center to the circumference should be strengthened, forming a traffic pattern composed of the super highways in the planned cross-area. The emphasis should be put on the construction of the 5 main roads including the extension of Dongfeng Street, the extension of the No 102 National highway, etc. with the length of 70 km. The Jingha railway (from Beijing to Harbin), Jingha highway (from Beijing to Harbin), the super highway surrounding the city and the Changshen first grade road (from Changchun to Shenyang) run across the city. It is also dotted with the Changchun freight station and the road junctions, which make up the trunk network of the initial area so as to ensure the convenient traffic and smooth physical distribution.

完备的基础设施是长春汽车产业开发区发展的坚实保障，目前开发区已经在23平方公里的建成区内，完成了长春热电三厂、污水处理厂、供水厂等大型基础设施项目的建设，铺设道路70公里，绿化160万平方米，水电气管线500公里，完善了供电、供水、供热、道路、电信、宽带、排污等基础设施服务体系，70项基础建设项目的完成为投资企业营造了良好的生产保障与发展环境。
The perfect infrastructure provides the firm foundation for the development of the Changchun Automotive Industries Development Area. At the present, the infrastructures of large-scale such as Changchun No.3 Thermoelectricity Factory, the Sewage Treatment Works, the Water Supply Factory, etc have been completed within the construction area of 23 km2 in the development area with the road construction of 70 km, the green area of 1,600,000 m2, and the pipelines for water and electricity of 500 km. As a result, the infrastructure system of power-supply, water-supply, heat-supply, roads, telecommunication, broadband service and sewage disposal facilities etc. has been improved, and the completion of the 70 infrastructures has provided the guarantee for production and environment for development.

长春汽车产业开发区整体规划布局科学，潜在发展空间广阔。在现有产业布局的基础上，开发区以东风大街延长段为中心轴，形成“三翼”的发展格局。
The overall layout of Changchun Automotive Industries Development Area is scientifically designed with great development potential. On the basis of the present layout, the development area forms the development pattern of “three-wing” with the extension of Dongfeng Street as the center line.

主要分布有核心功能和居住功能，核心区主要位于绕城高速公路两侧，承担商务办公、汽车展示销售、研发、教育培训等功能。
It is the core of the development area as well as the living area. The core area, located at the two sides of the super highways surrounding the city, is the area for business dealings, automobile presentation and selling, research and development, education and training, etc.

北翼规划汽车动力总成、汽车模具、汽车电子生产项目和汽车零部件出口加工基地。
The north wing is the base for the automobile motor assembly, automobile molds, the manufacturing of the electronics and the export processing of the automobile components.

南翼规划整车、改装车、汽车零部件制造业，建设各具特色的零部件加工园区。
The south wing is the industrial park for the finished cars, remolded cars, the manufacturing of the parts and components with their own characteristics.

FAW Toyota No. 4 Factory
四川一汽丰田有限公司长春丰越公司扩建项目位于汽车产业开发区南翼工业区，绕城高速公路以西、腾飞大路以南、富锋山地质公园以东、长沈公路以北。主要生产卡罗拉系列产品，年产20万辆规划（一期10万辆），项目投资总额达41.5亿元，项目建设包括冲压、焊装、涂装、总装、树脂等五大工艺及辅助设施。
The expansion project of Changchun Fengyue Company, Sichuan FAW Toyota Co., Ltd is located at the south part of the Automotive Industries Development Area, in the west of the roads surrounding the city, south of Tengfei road, east of Fufengshan geological park and north of Changshen road. It mainly manufactures the products of Carola series with the annual capacity of 200,000 (100,000 at first phase) and the total investment of 4.15 billion Yuan, the project construction includes the five techniques covering stamping, welding, application, assembly and resin and other supplementary facilities.

The vantage of luster has attracted more and more partners for Changchun Automotive Industries Development Area. Trade and physical distribution

中国北方汽贸城：被誉为“中国汽配第一城”，位于长春汽车产业开发区景阳大路与西环城路交汇处。由中国高力集团投资建设，总投资30亿元，占地面积30万平方米，建筑面积50万平方米，商铺5000余个，现已竣工营业，预计可实现年销售100亿元，2007年被评为“中国未来十大汽配市场”之首。
China North Automobile Trade City: honored as the “first automobile fitting city in China”, is located at the joint of Jingyang Street and Xihuan Road. It is invested and constructed by Gaoli Corporation with the investment of 3 billion Yuan, covering an area of 300,000 m2 including the construction area of 500,000 m2 with over 5000 stores. The construction has been completed and operation started. The annual profit is supposed to be 10 billion Yuan. It was rewarded as No.1 of the “10 prosperous Chinese automobile fitting markets”.

二手车市场：长春机动车中心批发市场和长春旧机动车交易中心两个国家级市场，以国际化标准建设，引进汽车置换、翻新、寄售、拍卖等经营业态和国内外汽车销售网络，现已成为国内规模最大、档次最高、与国际接轨的汽车销售和二手车市场。
Market of used-car: the two markets of the state grade--- Changchun Motor Vehicle Wholesale Market and Changchun Used Motor Vehicle Trade Center are constructed in accordance with the international standard for bringing in the operation of automobile replacement, refurbishment, consignment, and auction and building up the marketing network home and abroad. It has become the largest used car market of the highest level which is in line with the international norms.
