Pupils learn to talk about animals ,places and events using adjectives with more and most .In the task ,they look at and compare pictures of the animals and birds they see on an island ,the places they visit and the trips they go on there. Then they write a postcard to a friend telling him/her about the animals and birds ,the places and the trips on the island . 单元教学目标 1.Speaking: Use appropriate intonation and stress , and vary volume , tone of voice and speed to convey intended meaning and feelings 2.Reading: Work out meaning of an unknown word or expression ; Recognize format and language features of text types 3.Writing: Present writing using appropriate layout and visual support ; Use appropriate formats, conventions and language features. 单元重点难点 key points: 1. Use the comparatives and superlative adjectives to compare different places and animals 课时安排 lesson 1 教学过程 批注与反思 Step 1 Lead in Draw Ss attention on the white board. T: Who are they ? S:They are Mary and Tom. T: What are they doing? S:They are talking about their holiday photos. T:Do you want to see the photos ? S:yes! Step 2 Presentation and drill Divide the flash cards into four sets : interesting places, exciting places ,dangerous animals and beautiful places . 1. Show pupils the first set of cards to introduce the places. T:These are Mary’s photos .Let’s have a look together . T:What can you see in the picture ? S:I can see temples.(use phonics to help Ss to pronounce the words) T: Are they the same as our school buildings ? What’s the difference ? S:No,the top of the temples are pointed . T: Do they look interesting ? S: Yes , they do .(Post the card on the board and write the name and the word interesting under it ) Use the flash cards to introuduce the interesting places in the same way . 2. Put the words into sentences T:Wow ! Do you like Mary’s photos ? She went to these interesting places on her holiday . Let’s listen to Mary’s descriptions. Play the e-book ,let Ss listen to the radio and read it together . Write the sentences on the board . Use different coloured chalk to emphasise more and most . 3. Tell the Ss we do not add “er” or “est” on the adjectives which have more than two syllables in pronunciation. We add “more” or “most” to them instead . 4.Go through the set of exciting trips and the dangerous animals and beautiful places in the same way . Step 3 practice Finish the pre-task P25 Part B Step 4 sum up T:How many places and trips did we learn ? What are they ? S: We learnt three places and three places . They are ……. T: Can you describe them ? S: We visited some interesting places. The villages were more interesting than the temples. The islands were the most interesting . We went on some exciting trips .
