16、mical analysis for bar and wire,except for hydrogen andnitrogen,which shall be determined on the finished product.7.3 When requested by the purchaser and stated in thepurchase order,a product analysis for any elements listed inTable 3 shall be made on the finished product.7.3.1 The manufacturers ana
17、lysis shall be considered asverified if the check analysis confirms the manufacturersreported values within the tolerances prescribed in Table 4.8.Mechanical Properties8.1 The annealed material shall conform to the requirementsfor mechanical properties,at room temperature,as prescribedin Table 5.Wir

42、with Test Methods E8.Determine the yield strengthby the offset(0.2%)method.Determine the tensile propertiesusing a strain rate of 0.003 to 0.007 in./in.mm/mm/minthrough the yield strength.After the yield strength has beenexceeded,the cross-head speed may be increased to approxi-mately 0.05 in./in.mm
43、/mm/min to failure.13.2 Chemical TestsThe chemical analyses shall be con-ducted by the standard techniques normally used by themanufacturer.14.Inspection14.1 The manufacturer shall inspect the material covered bythis specification prior to shipment.If so specified in thepurchase order,the purchaser
44、or his representative may witnessthe testing and inspection of the material at the place ofmanufacture.In such cases the purchaser shall state in hispurchase order which tests he desires to witness.The manu-facturer shall give ample notice to the purchaser as to the timeand place of the designated t
45、ests.If the purchasers represen-tative does not present himself at the time agreed upon for thetesting,the manufacturer shall consider the requirement forpurchasers inspection at the place of manufacture to bewaived.14.2 The manufacturer shall afford the inspector represent-ing the purchaser,without
46、 charge,all reasonable facilities tosatisfy him that the material is being furnished in accordancewith this specification.This inspection shall be so conducted asnot to interfere unnecessarily with the operation of the works.15.Rejection15.1 Rejection for failure of the material to meet therequireme
47、nts of this specification shall be reported to themanufacturer.Unless otherwise specified,rejected materialmay be returned to the manufacturer at the manufacturersexpense,unless the purchaser receives,within three weeks ofthe notice of rejection,other instructions for disposition.16.Certification16.
48、1 A producer or supplier shall furnish the purchaser witha certificate that the material was manufactured,sampled,tested,and inspected in accordance with this specification andhas been found to meet the requirements.The certificate shallinclude a report of the test results.17.Referee17.1 In the even
49、t of disagreement between the manufacturerand the purchaser on the conformance of the material to therequirements of this specification or any special test specifiedby the purchaser,a mutually acceptable referee shall performthe tests in question.The results of the referees testing shall beused in d
50、etermining conformance of the material to thisspecification.18.Product Marking18.1 Each bundle,box,or coil shall be marked or taggedlegibly and conspicuously with the purchase order or contractnumber,manufacturers private identification mark,the ASTMdesignation,the grade,size,ingot number,and gross,
